Great Kids Academy remains committed to providing an academically rigorous education to pupils who will walk out of school ready for lives of leadership and service to their community. From literacy to music and art, each day at Great Kids Academy is filled with activities that are both enriching and fun.
We strive to be committed to the pupils we are privileged to serve, in our alumni association, our dedicated, talented teachers and staff. We also take pride in having the most active and helpful group of partners, visionary parents, well-wishers, alumni and friends.
BRIEF HISTORY OF GREAT KIDS ACADEMY.
The school was duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2013 with a
mandate to provide quality childcare services, beginning with crèche, daycare, and
playgroup.
Operations commenced that same year, and by 2016, in response to increasing
demand from parents, the school expanded to include pre-nursery and nursery classes.
Having received approval
from the Inspectorate Department of Quality Assurance under
the Federal Ministry of Education for basic education.
From a modest start with just 10 children, enrollment gradually grew to 25 within the early
years. Staff strength, which began with 5 dedicated members, increased steadily to match
the growing population and needs of the school community.
In 2017, formal academic activities took off with the graduation of the first nursery pupils into
Grade One. Growth continued “a class at a time” until the 2021 academic year, when some
of the pioneer pupils reached Grade Five — a milestone that reflected the school’s steady
progress and commitment to excellence.
